Pismo is my favorite spot on the nearly 500 mile stretch of coastal road from San Francisco to Los Angeles, a funky beachtown with the best sunsets and one really cool thing you won’t see anywhere else in California.
In Pismo, at the Oceano Dunes, you can drive your car on the sand. Really. Just make sure it’s at low tide, or you could be whisked away!
