New Video Alert: Bakersfield, Part 2
As promised, the all-food edition
In Part 2 of our Bakersfield, California, we explore the unique food scene in this agricultural town, some 2 hours north of Los Angeles.
Unique? Basque family style dinners are a thing here, with multiple courses and a huge tradition, while taffy chews shipped all over the U.S. are made in Bakersfield, and we watched the process. They had me at the first bite. We also visit the local cafe, Zingo’s, where the owners wowed us with plate after plate of comfort food.
For the photo tips segment, we’re all about showing the best way to photograph an ice cream sundae. I hope you’ll tune in.
And ICYMI, here’s part 1 from last week:
Next week, we’re back on Route 66 again, this time in Texas. You can see the show Sundays at 10 a.m. ET on Scripps News with replays on YouTube.
