History, southern food, views and such a fun walking town
The latest episode of Photowalks is available for your viewing pleasure.
This week, we continue our southern leg of the America 250 journey with a stop in Charleston, South Carolina, home to colorful 18th century homes, a connection to the 1776 revolution that most people miss, great waterfront views for photos, and a darker history, re racism, thany other of the original 13 colonies.
We explore it all in this episode—let me know what you think of it.

P.S.
Re my request for readers to chime in on the recent court ruling that said Facebook and YouTube were liable for kids social addiction, reader Mike says:
“I don’t think it’s just the addictive nature of these services, but the damage that is done to people, specifically teens, when they become addicted. Teens are already self conscious enough without comparing themselves to everyone all the time. It’s a lot for them to deal with, regardless of how many times we parents try to reassure them. As a dad of a recent 16 year old, we’ve been able to keep him off TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, but YouTube influencers aren’t great either.
I do agree with you on much of this falling to parents. It’s too easy to hand a child a screen, but that’s not being a good parent. We held off as long as we could with our son, but I wish we had waited even longer.”
