I love sitting down with the local Scripps anchors and telling them all about Photowalks! From Tulsa to Detroit, Cleveland to Cincinnati, I recently met anchor Christine Stanwood in Tulsa at one of the great local art deco buildings, went into the studio in Detroit with Kiara Hay and Cincinnati with Kristen Skovira, and met up with Tiffany Tarpley in Cleveland at Big Al’s Diner.
Here’s a collection of recent interviews with Scripps anchors.
Photowalks airs on Scripps News on Sundays, with new episodes at 10 a.m. ET and 10 p.m. ET.
PhotowalksTV was created by former USA TODAY columnist Jefferson Graham, who has over 100,000 followers on social media, with the aim of offering a different type of travel show for the digital generation by marrying eye-candy visits with mobile photography tips.
The show began on YouTube, where it has over 2.5 million total views.
In late 2024, Photowalks expanded to television with a short-run on streaming channel Scripps News as a weekly half-hour travel show. The series was so well-received, Scripps renewed Photowalks for a second season and a 30 episode order and recently re-upped with a new 17 episode order renewal.
Scripps News is the most widely distributed free streaming news channel, available on every major streaming platform, including Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV, as well as on dedicated channels on Samsung, LG, TCL and Vizio TVs, and within hugely popular apps like Pluto, Tubi, Sling and Fubo. According to eMarketer, 57% of TV consumers watch ad-supported streaming channels monthly, to the tune of over 75 million viewers.
